Meet the “chickshaw”: a mobile chicken house that one person can move (a lot) of chickens. since the 19th century people have been moving people with rickshaws.. by centering most of the “shaws” weight on the center of gravity of the two wheels, and pulling the front, it’s easy to move incredible amounts of weight.. Because the run is not connected to the coop, one has to catch and carry the chickens in between the run and coop. when the run is lifted up to collect the chickens, the pvc pipes slide out of the connecting pipes creating a dilapidated mess with the chickens still inside. i would not recommend this run to anyone. we are so upset that we put. The ussery system for managing laying hens on pasture uses a large, portable chicken coop and electric net fencing to create a yard area around the coop. the hens, coop, and fencing are moved to fresh ground every week or two, or as needed to keep them grazing on fresh grass..

For easy chicken runs i use welded wire fencing. they're easy to make and each section take very little time or talent to make. each piece is made from two 2' pieces and one 7' piece of fencing. just attach the 2' pieces to the ends of the 7' pieces, cut a hole for the chickens, zip tie around the. I made a 4'x4' coop and a 4'x8' run using mittleider's pvc pipe greenhouse designs, resized for 4' rolls of chicken wire. that was 10 years ago and they have held up pretty well. if you are interested, i could measure them and post a parts list..
